Bethel Retrievers began with an unexpected opportunity and the generosity of a fellow breeder who helped me take my first steps into the world of Golden Retrievers.

What started as a practical endeavor soon developed into a genuine passion for this remarkable breed. From the beginning, I believed that anything worth doing was worth doing well. I committed myself to health testing, responsible breeding practices, and continually expanding my knowledge of genetics, temperament, and puppy development.

As my experience grew, so did my vision for Bethel Retrievers.

I developed a particular appreciation for the versatility of the Golden Retriever and the complementary qualities found in both show and field lines. My goal is to raise dogs that possess the beauty, intelligence, athleticism, and gentle disposition that make Goldens such extraordinary companions.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my program is getting to know each puppy as an individual. I believe that successful placement goes beyond choosing a puppy based on appearance or preference. By carefully observing temperament and learning about each prospective family's lifestyle and expectations, I strive to make matches that allow both puppy and family to flourish.

Today, Bethel Retrievers remains a family-centered breeding program grounded in the same principles that shaped its beginning: integrity, thoughtful decisions, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

I don't believe responsible breeding is about claiming perfection. It's about approaching every litter with intention, learning from experience, and always striving to do better for the dogs we raise and the families who welcome them.
